Kilimo kinaajiri asilimia 80 ya wananchi nchini, licha ya idadi hiyo imebainika kuwa asilimia kumi tu ya wakulima ndio wanaoendesha kilimo chao kwa kufuata kanuni bora jambo linalosababisha wengi kupata  mazao yasiyolingana na ukubwa wa shamba.

Mkulima wa mboga mboga na Nyanya INNOCENT KIPONDYA wa Mwalogwabagole Wilayani Misungwi Mkoani Mwanza, anasema baada ya Airtel FURSA kumshika mkono kwa kumpa zana za kilimo ameweza kuongeza ukubwa wa shamba na kuajiri vijana wengine.

INNOCENT amesema fursa zinazotolewa na mtandao wa Airtel, hazitolewi na mtandao mwingine nchini ambapo anatoa wito kwa jamii kuchangamkia fursa hiyo itakayobadilisha maisha yao.

 

Mradi wa Airtel Fursa umeanzishwa Mei mwaka jana na tayari umewafikia vijana zaidi ya Elfu tano katika  mikoa kumi nchini ikiwa ni pamoja na vijana zaidi ya 100 waliowezeshwa kwa kupewa mitaji.

ICE FM: I have started an investigative business stories program

I am one of the IBER course participants, 2016. The course has given me a lot of knowledge and skills for research and identifying the issues affecting the community. Most importantly, I have learned to produce an investigative business programme and how to conduct interviews with balanced sources to identify critical business environment issues. I never knew these things before, but now I do thanks to BEST-D and SAUT. I have managed to produce 2 investigative stories as part of learning. I have managed to negotiate with the Programme Manager at my radio station to initiate a 30-minute investigative business programme which will be launched soon.

LET US USE IBER KNOWLEDGE TO PARSUADE OUR COMMUNITY

To take the next step and become the best in carrier or profession or job which you do, you must have the habit of reading regularly to know new things or improve what you know.

Since I was young I lived and believe it, I have given my heart to accept the position that life is to learn to think differently, to allow problems to occur not only distract my mind but using them as development challenge that might be teaching techniques to move forward and succeed.

When I was younger I thought and dreamed that one day I will work in the world's major broadcast corporations, after reading the thirst to achieve the target, although with great difficulty and challenges, I am happy now to re-announce that currently I am working with global leading Media organizations.

In Several times, I thought that One day I will go and study in European countries. I used my Public Relation and a lot of efforts in learning via asking my head (why, where, how, when)

In 2014 I went in the Netherlands and I studied a Broadcast Journalism in conflict resolution and cohesion and succeeded. 2016 I had the opportunity again to go back to Europe, now it was in Germany, I have learned a lot and I feel blessed.

Today I am graduating a one-year course of the Investigation Business Environment reporting. I graduated from the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania in Mwanza.

Ohh!! Almighty God continues to give me the means and the will to move forward. Ii hope my kids will learn from me.

CHAI FM-MBEYA: I WAS APPOINTED A MANAGER AFTER ATTENDING THIS TRAINING

I have learnt to make more educational programmes which can help to transform the agricultural sector.

 I have also learnt to conduct research and produce evidence used in my programme to influence policy change. 

I have managed to do a lot of things including preparing programmes on good agricultural practices. After this training I was trusted and appointed a Manager of Chai FM. 

HOPE FM –IRINGA: I HAVE LEARNED HOW TO MAKE BETTER DOCUMENTARIES

The IBER course has helped me to know how to develop and prepare appealing radio programmes on business environment issues. After attending the programme, I realized that when making radio programmes on agribusiness, I must look for people who are associated with it; farmers, partners, professionals and government leaders, to ensure that I balance the story. The IBER course has also helped me to understand the regulations, property rights and legal environment and to simplify them according to the type of audience. I understand the basics of private sector advocacy and dialogue. In preparing investigative stories, I must use the data and evidence from the field because they will help me to make issues visible to the public and policy makers. Indeed, I gained more skills for conducting an interview and how to control it.

I learned how to make a better documentary, which enabled me to change other programme structures. I know how to report a story in an analytical way through 5W’s and H plus another W. I gained more skills for making a programme and a documentary through providing a programme plan, research, and writing a report. I have managed to make better radio programmes than the ones I made before receiving SAUT training. I understand how to see an opportunity and how to turn an idea into a business. The programme has helped me to develop an action plan for preparing agribusiness programmes. In addition to using radio as the source of communication, I found I can use Mobile Agricultural School & Service (MASS) to reach farmers. Finally, I learned that after seeing whether a certain story is worth investigating, I have to ask myself, “What is the public interest in it?”
